Gibson Marcus King ES-345 - SC

Initially conceived as a Custom Shop model, the Gibson Marcus King ES-345 is now part of the Gibson USA production line, maintaining the specifications selected by Marcus King to replicate the feel and characteristics of his historically significant and cherished 1962 ES-345.

The body is crafted from a three-ply laminate of maple/poplar/maple, featuring a solid maple center block, an ideal solution for achieving high sustain and significantly reducing feedback at higher volumes.

The mahogany neck has a Rounded profile, measuring 0.875” at the first fret and 0.975” at the twelfth, designed to provide a solid yet comfortable grip. The Indian rosewood fingerboard is equipped with 22 Medium Jumbo frets, acrylic split parallelogram inlays, and a Graph Tech® nut.

The electronics consist of a pair of Gibson Custombuckers, selected for their harmonic richness and dynamic response. The circuit is wired in a mono configuration, a personal preference of Marcus King that promotes a more direct sound consistent with his style.

Completing the package is a fixed Vibrola™ tailpiece, engineered to provide excellent tuning stability without sacrificing aesthetics or sustain.

The gold hardware includes an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic™ bridge, Grover® Rotomatic® tuning machines with kidney-shaped knobs, and a custom anchor plate designed specifically for this model.
