Gibson J-15 - WB

Gibson's J-15 series features a splendid mix of mainland-harvested Sitka Spruce and Walnut back and sides. This allows for an especially gorgeous tonality that splices the inherit warmth and fullness of overtones apparent in the Sitka top with the clarity and balance that walnut provides for an outstandingly vibrant overall sound. The strengths of this model are immeasurable and the stylistic applications are endless.

The beautiful maple neck is laminated with a walnut strip for added stability and creates a striking visual statement of continuity between the neck and body. As with all Gibson acoustics, the neck is a hand-fitted dovetail joint secured with hide glue for maximum tonal synergy between the strings, neck and body. These instruments are built from the ground up by Gibson's finest luthiers; a fact that's overwhelmingly clear whenever we take one of these out for a test drive.
