The Gibson J-45 Standard has been a best-seller since the 1940's and is commonly nicknamed by artists as "The Workhorse." It is equipped with Active electronics and a sound hole mounted volume control.

The J-45 Standard features a solid mahogany back and sides, premium sitka spruce top, nickel grover tuners, rosewood fretboard with dot inlays, rosewood bridge and a mahogany neck.
