Designed for bold players who want to “pop” in the spotlight, the Greg Fessler Master Design ’69 Strat is a dream come true. Master builder Greg Fessler didn’t stray too far from the tried-and-true ’69, but he did add some rare aesthetic appointments, such as the lustrous 1-ply Silver Sparkle pickguard. The two-piece body is crafted from alder specially selected for its weight and grain, and it wears a stunning Journeyman Relic® lacquer finish, giving it the look and feel of an authentic ’69 Strat while wearing in a personal way. The ultra-stable quartersawn maple neck sports a comfortable “’69 U” profile, along with a modern 9.5”-radius round-lam maple fingerboard with 21 6105 frets that will feel familiar to contemporary players.

A trio of single-coil pickups, specially selected by Fessler, kick out hot, vintageinspired tone. The Custom Shop Hand-Wound Texas Special bridge pickup is joined by a Hand-Wound Fat ‘50s middle pickup and Hand-Wound ’69 neck pickup—all tied together with vintage-style wiring to a five-way pickup switch. Other features include a vintage-style synchronized tremolo bridge, vintage-style tuning machines, bone nut and wing string tree with spacer.
