Fender Custom 1961 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic - 3CS

Often we find guitarists looking for instruments with a vintage sound but who can't get used to the traditional specs we usually find on the Fender Custom Shop.

This instrument was created as Custom Order. A guitar conceived as a combination of modern specifications and vintage tone, to satisfy the most modern guitarists.

In terms of "tradition" we find a classic Alder body, with a Maple neck and a Rosewood fretboard, hand-wound pickups Ancho Poblano (middle with reverse polarity), for a classic Fender tone, the best you would expected from Stratocaster .

In terms of "modernity" we find a Modern "C" neck profile combined with a fretboard compound radius, from 9.5" to 12", which allows easy access along all the fretboard.

We also find a "contoured" neck heel, which facilitate playing on the last positions and a fretboard with 22 50085 Narrow Tall frets.

Finally we cannot mention the bridge, the Standard Stratocaster RSD Bridge. This special bridge has the aesthetics of a traditional vintage Fender bridge, but has some technical details that make it even more performing. We find a slightly larger string spacing, in order to have an even more accurate centering on the poles of single coils, materials specifically designed to give the instrument a better response on low frequencies, body installing screws redesigned for greater mechanical efficiency and finally a tremolo arm engagement system with improved mechanical efficiency and an automatic arm locking system in order to keep the arm in the preferred position.

An instrument that we believe will satisfy the most demanding guitarists who until now probably didn't find everything they wanted in the ordinary Fender Custom Shop guitars.
