Belonging to the Inspired by Gibson Custom Collection, the Epiphone 1959 ES-355, produced in collaboration with Gibson Custom, is technically the finest ES-355 ever made by Epiphone.
The Epiphone 1959 ES-355 features all the standout characteristics of the 1959 ES-355 model in the Epiphone catalog. From its laminated maple body with a mahogany center block, to the mahogany neck with a SlimTaper profile, the VOS nitrocellulose finish, and the Gibson Custombucker pickups, this ES-355 is the ultimate expression of Gibson's tradition within the Epiphone lineup.
In terms of electronics, it includes a pair of Gibson Custombucker pickups, paired with CTS potentiometers, a Switchcraft selector, and Mallory capacitors: there’s really nothing to "mod," as this guitar offers everything one could desire!
Further enhancing the instrument is a VOS finish, redesigned plastic parts to more closely resemble the originals, and a hard case from Epiphone.
