The Martin D-42 is one of the most prestigious models of the Standard Series. The tone produced is very warm, thanks to the forward shifted bracing pattern, which also give a crisp projection.

Back and sides are made of solid rosewood, while the top is made of solid sitka spruce. The ebony fingerboard and the ebony bridge are decorated with abalone inlays and a grained invoroid binding decorates the body and the fretboard of this amazing instrument.
